NIT Silchar will start the BTech admission from June 10, 2024, with JoSAA registration. JEE Main 2024 session 2 result has been released on April 24, 2024 by NTA. Candidates who appeared for the exam can download their scorecards online from jeemain.nta.ac.in. Qualifying candidates will be eligible for JoSAA seat allotment which will start in July 2024 tentatively.

NIT Silchar BTech admission 2024 will start from June 10, 2024 with JoSAA registration. JEE Main session 2 result 2024 has been released on April 24, 2024. NIT Silchar offers admission to various UG and PG programmes such as B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, and MCA. Swami Dayanand Education Foundation Scholarships are given to students belonging to low annual income families (Less than Rs. 6 lakh per annum). The value of the scholarship ranges from Rs. 15,000 to 50,000 depending on different scholarship categories. 30% of the scholarships under this scheme are reserved for women candidates.
Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) Chinese Government Scholarships for students on the merit-cum-means basis are given as per the Chinese government-sponsored norms. Scholarships for Research fellows at NIT Silchar are sponsored by the Ministry of Human Resource Development. The senior research fellow gets Rs. 28,000 and a junior research fellow gets Rs. 25,000.
A scholarship by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs of the Government of India awards Rs. 45,000 to meritious Scheduled Tribe students to purchase laptops, computers, books or any other academic accessories.
JoSAA has released NIT Silchar JEE Main cutoff for round 5 on July 17, 2024. NIT Silchar cut off for general category is 25665 OR and 84759 CR. Moreover, NIT Silchar CSE cutoff for general is 26892 and OBC is 15380.
