The campus of NIT Jamshedpur offers a plethora of facilities to take care of the students’ needs. The campus has a total of 13 hostels out of which 9 hostels are for boys and 4 are for girls. In addition to it, the NIT Jamshedpur campus conducts various activities for the students and there are clubs such as Cultural and dramatics society, Innovation Club, Literary and Debating Society, Mechanical Engineering Society, National Service Scheme, Society of Computer Applications, etc. The NIT Jamshedpur campus also offers counselling facility for the students wherein a trained counsellor is present and students can discuss their personal as well as professional issues with the counselllor. There is a three-storied library with a periodical section, separate reading hall, a processing section, book bank, and a binding unit. The reading room at NIT Jamshedpur campus has dictionaries, encyclopedias, popular magazines, newspapers and journal, and reference books. There is a stack room as well situated on the first floor of the library with open access to the students to select books of their choice. The library also has two books banks, one is for the SC/ST students and the other one is the TEQUIP book bank, for both SC/ST students and general students. This book bank is funded by World Bank Aid.
