Chandigarh University admission to all undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses is based on the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET). The test is divided into two phases: CUCET-I and CUCET-II, each active for a certain period with varying benefits. Applicants can choose the active phase at the time of their application. The Chandigarh University scholarship scheme covers an array of scholarships and concessions for deserving students. The scholarships are mostly given on a merit basis. Chandigarh University cutoff for BE is 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2 with only Physics or Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects. The 2024 Chandigarh University cutoff BE for lateral entry candidates is 50% aggregate marks in 10+3  in relevant branches of Engineering/Technology. Along with it, Chandigarh University cutoff for the year 2024 will be based on CUCET/JEE Main results. However, the Chandigarh University cut off is not released officially. Diploma candidates need to pass a 10+3 diploma in Engineering/Technology/Architecture with 50% marks in aggregate in order to meet the Chandigarh University cutoff for B.Des.
