NIT Kurukshetra admission will start in June for BTech courses. Candidates need to qualify JEE Main and participate in JoSAA counselling for BTech admission at NIT Kurukshetra. JEE Main session 2 result has been declared by NTA for BTech admission. Next, the registration for JoSAA counselling will begin in the month of June. The detailed information about admission in NIT Kurukshetra is given below. 

12th Marks

Candidates who want to secure admission in National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra, should have at least 75% aggregate marks in their 12th standard boards. SC / ST and OBCs must have 65% aggregate marks in their 12th standard boards. The Institute of passing should be a recognized institute.

Other Methods

For specific courses, the candidate must meet the required English skills tests, entrance examination cut-offs, etc. In addition, they will also have to pass the personal interviews and group discussion rounds. 

Documentation

Apart from getting the cut-offs and clearing the entrance exam, the candidate should have all the proper documentation. If a transfer or domicile certificate is needed, candidates should arrange it by themselves at admission.

NIT Kurukshetra Official Admission Portal

The National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, has created a chatbot on the official website to ease the application procedure. This bot will help with all the required documents the candidate should carry during admission. If a particular query is not resolvable by the bot, it will be sent to the admission cell, which will personally reach out to the candidate via phone or email.

NIT Kurukshetra Application Process for Admission 2024

The National Institute of Technology Kurukshetra application process is quite simple as the admission cell handles everything from documentation to onboarding students for each course. First and foremost, the candidate needs to get hold of the application form, which can be found either at the institute’s office or through the online portal of the institute. 

The candidate must fill out the NIT Kurukshetra application form and submit it with a nominal fee of Rs 1,000, which is non-refundable.

60 percent or more marks in one attempt in each of the two semester examination in the perious year

NIT Kurukshetra cutoff JEE Main for round 5 has been released by JoSAA on July 17, 2024. According to the round 5 data, NIT Kurukshetra cutoff for general category is 1161 (OR) and 2741 (CR). Apart from this, NIT Kurukshetra CSE cutoff for general category is 8475, OBC is 4101, SC is 2332, ST is 6000 and EWS is 1551. 

NIT Kurukshetra campus has hostels for the students, residential sector and instructional buildings for the staff. The instructional buildings are situated between the two residential sectors to reduce the walking distance. There is a full-fledged health centre at the NIT Kurukshetra campus which has qualified doctors, a Post Office and an SBI bank, which are all located at convenient points on the NIT Kurukshetra campus. The campus has a well-equipped health centre with an array of facilities to meet the students’ medical requirements. From lab tests, dental facility, OPD to pharmacy, the health centre has it all. There is a well-equipped casualty with 8 beds for emergency cases at NIT Kurukshetra campus. Treatment of diseases such as acute gastroenteritis, typhoid, acute colic, bronchial asthma and malaria is available. The health centre at NIT Kurukshetra has round the clock ambulance for transporting patients from the institute’s health centre to the local government. The ambulance services are free of cost for the students.

Various student activities are held at NIT Kurukshetra campus such as Techspardha, the annual techno-managerial festival, Confluence (the annual cultural festival which is a four-day long event held towards the end of February). In addition to these activities, NIT Kurukshetra campus also has many technical societies such as Robotics club, Microbus, Aeromodelling, EDC etc. There are many cultural clubs also such as PG Club, Students’ activity club, hiking and trekking club, music and dramatics, and photography etc.

NIT Kurukshetra campus is also known for the various indoor and outdoor games and there are tennis courts, badminton courts, hockey ground, and volleyball court. There is a gym at the institute and it has the latest state-of-the-art equipment for different exercises. The institute has a swimming pool as well. A spacious library with a good collection of reference books, CD-ROMs and a wide range of journals is available at the NIT Kurukshetra campus.
