Birla Institute of Technology was founded in 1955 by the visionary industrialist Mr. BM Birla with the specific goal of providing a platform for its young minds to let their imaginations fly and their ideas come to life. BIT Mesra admission process varies by course. For some courses, the university holds entrance exams on campus, while admission to various courses is based on merit as well. BIT Mesra accepts scores from national-level exams such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE, CAT, NEET-UG, and more. Candidates can apply online for admission to the desired course at BIT Mesra.

BTech Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning aspirants from the Open category at BIT Mesra may expect the cutoff 2024 to be between 18133-18143 (Gender-Neutral) for the AI quota and 28751-28761 (Gender-Neutral) for the HS quota.
