The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Institution, also known as CSMU, is a private university located on the outskirts of Mumbai. The institution was founded in 2018 and approved by the UGC (University Grants Commission). The university's goal is to produce graduates who can take advantage of global opportunities while contributing to society with ethical and moral principles.

CSMU admissions are based on Class 12 scores. They are eligible for direct admission to CSMU if their score is more than 80%. Students who score below 80% must undergo a series of exams, interviews, group discussions, and other procedures.

Like any other university, there are a set of precise admissions requirements that candidates must complete in order to be considered for admission at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Institution, Mumbai. The following are the main requirements for admission to this institution:

Class 12 marks: 

Candidates who scored 80% or higher in their Class 12 exams from various boards will be eligible to enroll in courses at the university. They have to complete an application form and pay the application fees merely. The Class 12marks alone have become a qualifying condition for various courses.

CSMU scholarship is provided on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination (Class 12 or equivalent) for admission to the undergraduate programs of the University. This scholarship will be allowed at the time of admission and will continue for the first year. Students who wish to continue this scholarship in the 2nd year will have to maintain a CGPA of 9.75 for 75% programme fee waiver, 9.50 for 50% programme fee waiver and 9.00 for 20% programme fee waiver.
