Mahatma Gandhi University Nalgonda admission process is conducted both online and offline. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of either the entrance exam or merit in the qualifying exam. For undergraduate programmes, admissions are through the TS EAMCET for BTech, TS ICET for MBA, and TS LAWCET for BA+LLB. For other conventional UG courses like BSc, BA, BCom, BHMCT and BBA, admissions are done through the Degree Online Services Telangana (DOST) platform based on the candidate’s merit. Postgraduate programme admissions are conducted via a centralised counselling process, that begins in late June or early July, and is based on the Common Postgraduate Entrance Tests (TG CPGET). Qualifying students will gain MGU Nalgonda admission through a centralised counselling process.

The University Head Quarters were located in Nalgonda town during the reporting year 2010-11 and its permanent campus is being developed in 240 acres of land allotted to the University on the state highway (Nalgonda - Narketpally) at Anneparthy, 7kms from Nalgonda town.
