B.Tech admission in NIT Delhi is done based on JEE Main. Admissions to NIT Delhi for BTech courses will begin with JoSAA registration from June 10, 2024. Admission in NIT Delhi for M.Tech programme is done through GATE. 

NIT Delhi offers admission in B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD programs. The candidates mostly opt for NIT Delhi B.Tech course, a 3 year course which offers 3 specialisations. Candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria to secure a seat in any of  the NIT Delhi courses. 50% of NIT Delhi admission is reserved  for Delhi and Chandigarh candidates. The aspirants need to appear for entrance exams for NIT Delhi admission. 

Candidates seeking admission in NIT Delhi have to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria before applying for their desired course. The admission procedure varies for NIT Delhi Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral programmes. NIT Delhi provides admission in Bachelor in Technology (B.Tech) and Master in Technology(M.Tech) for various specialisations. Candidates may proceed to fill the application form available on the official website of NIT Delhi.

NIT Delhi offers scholarships on the basis of merit and means. The meritorious students get the opportunity to avail scholarships on the basis of the marks obtained by the students in their previous examinations. Students belonging to the lower income group can avail the scholarships to waive off their fee :

NIT Delhi cut off 2024 for round five has been released by JoSAA on the official website. The cutoff for General category is 57 (OR) - 27045 (CR) for OS quota.  NIT Delhi cutoff for OBC is 2012 - 9096 (OS quota).

The National Institute of Technology Delhi transit campus is located in IAMR campus Narela, New Delhi. The construction work of permanent NIT Delhi campus on NH-1 near Narela Subcity, New Delhi is expected to be over soon. The current NIT Delhi IAMR Narela campus offers the following facilities to the students:

Classrooms: The NIT Delhi classrooms are well equipped with modern facilities like multimedia projectors, electronic notice boards, E-podium with audio-video recording facility and many more. These modern technologies complement traditional learning methods and enhance the learning ability of the students. The NIT Delhi classrooms are structured according to the available technologies for smooth dissemination of knowledge. 

Library: The Central Library of NIT Delhi contains hundreds of books, reference and study materials related to the field of Science, Technology and Engineering. The library facilities are accessible to all the students, staff and faculty members of the Institute. The NIT Delhi Central Library is continuously expanding in terms of books and study materials to serve the purpose of Science, Technology and Engineering since its inception in 2012. Located on the first floor of the IAMR building, it provides a spacious reading room with lighting and proper ventilation.

Computer Centre: The NIT Delhi computer centre has:

• 500 Mbps high-speed fibre backbone
• High-End Servers with storage up to 5TB 
• Wi-fi enabled systems
• Up to date software
• Printing, photocopying and scanning facilities

Laboratories: NIT Delhi has a total of eight laboratories where the students can conduct experiments, research and measurements. All the laboratories are well equipped with state-of-art infrastructure and equipment.

Sports Facilities: The sports department of NIT Delhi has arrangements for several outdoor and indoor games like table tennis, badminton, chess, carrom, football, cricket etc which provides the students with a much-needed break from the monotonous classroom study. NIT Delhi campus presently possesses a football ground, cricket pitch, basketball and volleyball court.

Hostel Facilities: Well-furnished residential facilities or hostels are provided to the outstation students in NIT Delhi. The institute provides separate hostels for both boys and girls. The Boy’s hostel is situated in the Institute’s main campus in Narela while the Girl’s hostel is situated in Rohini, New Delhi. Presently the NIT Delhi hostel can accommodate 150 students (boys and girls combined).

Other than these, the institute also provides mess and canteen facilities, guest house and transportation facilities to the students.
