IIT Madras fees range from Rs 5000 to Rs 300000 per year, depending on the degree level, duration and specialization of the course. The college offers 92 courses at PG and UG programmes. Furthermore, IIT Madras offers 26 courses in B.Tech+M.Tech, 10 courses in B.Tech at the UG level. At the PG level, the students can choose a wide range of specializations - 29 courses in M.Tech, 13 course in MS. Admission to IIT Madras courses are open for the academic year 2024-25. For admission the college conducts JEE Main. In addition to this, scores of JEE Advanced, CAT, IIT JAM are accepted by IIT Madras.

IIT Madras admission 2024 has begun for engineering and management programmes. For BTech admission in IIT Madras, applicants need to qualify for JEE Advanced by clearing JEE Main. JoSAA counselling is held for IIT Madras admission to the BTech courses.  The round 1 seat allotment result was released on June 20, 2024. JoSAA will release the round 2 and round 3 seat allotment list on June 27 and July 4, 2024, respectively.
