NIT Warangal admission 2024 for B.Tech will start from June 10, 2024 along with the registrations for JoSAA counselling. JEE Main 2024 session 2 results have been announced by NTA on April 24, 2024. 

Like any other institute, NIT Warangal has a set of specific selection criteria that students need to meet to be eligible for admission. Here are the main pointers that candidates must fulfil to get a seat in NIT Warangal:

• 12th marks: Candidates who want to secure admission at the NIT Warangal, should have at least 75% aggregate marks in their 12th standard boards. SC/ST and OBCs must have 60% aggregate marks in their 12th standard boards. The institute of passing should be a recognized institute.
• Other methods: For specific courses, the candidate must meet the required English skills tests, entrance examination cut-offs, etc. In addition, they will also have to pass the personal interviews and group discussion rounds. 
• Documentation: Apart from getting the cut-offs and clearing the entrance exam, the candidate should have all the proper documentation. If a transfer of domicile certificate is needed, candidates should arrange it by themselves at the time of admission.

The application process for NIT Warangal admission is quite simple as the admission cell handles everything from documentation to onboarding students for each course. First and foremost, the candidate needs to get hold of the application form, which can be found either at the institute's office or through the online portal of the institute. The candidate must fill out this application form and submit it with a nominal fee of Rs 1000, which is non-refundable.

For specific courses, the candidates need to appear for an entrance exam. Many courses like B.Tech, MBA, and M.Tech requires the candidate to go for an entrance exam, and the selection criteria are based upon the marks and rank secured in the entrance exam as well as the last degree exam or 12th standard boards.

Scholarships provide financial aid to needy students and encourage meritorious students to do better. NIT Warangal awards a number of scholarships to its meritorious and needy students to support their education in every way possible. 

Institute Merit Scholarship:

• This scholarship is given to the meritorious students of NIT Warangal.
• Students who score more than 9.1 CGPA after the first semester.
• The amount is directly transferred to the bank account of the recipient.

MHRD scholarship:

• To avail, this scholarship, the JEE Main rank of a candidate must be less than 2000.
• There are no caste criteria for this scholarship.

TS E- Pass Scholarship:

• Students belonging to OBC/EBC/SC/ST category can apply for this scholarship. 
• Candidates must belong to the Telangana region only. 
• Candidates with family income less than 1 lakh have higher chances of getting this scholarship.

Note: 

• No student is awarded more than one scholarship. 
• To ensure the continuity of scholarships, students must clear every exam.
• Students with backlogs will not be considered for further scholarships. 
• Students should always keep their caste certificate with them. 
• Remember to keep updating caste certificate. 

NIT Warangal cut off for round five has been released on the official website. The cutoffs are based on the JEE Main score and have been released for HS and OS quota separately. For example, the HS quota NIT Warangal cutoff 2024 for general category is 755 (OR) & 45516 (CR). While, for OS quota the general category cutoff in 2024 round five is 1043 (OR) and 31513 (CR).

The NIT Warangal campus is spread over 256 acres of land with lush greenery. NITW has about 100 laboratories that are organised in a unique pattern of functioning. It has a central library spread over 4000 square metres with state of the art facility. The library of NIT Warangal is equipped with 1,79,797 books, technical pamphlets, back volumes, standards, video cassettes, CD-ROMs, e-books etc. Apart from this, it is also subscribed to 110 journals (20 Foreign and 90 Indian) at the cost of Rs 5.91 lakhs. The total cost of the books it has is Rs 8.81 crores.  It also receives 2000 online Journals via NITs Consortium, INDEST-AICTE and NITW. NIT Warangal has an auditorium, Mega Computer Centre, Dispensary with state of the art of facilities, student activity centre, seminar halls with required infrastructure, indoor games complex, excellent technical and supporting staff, brilliant student community, shopping complex and many other facilities. The institute has a branch of the State Bank of India and two ATMs on the college premises. It also has a post office that opens from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm on weekdays and from 9.00 am to 2.00 pm on Saturdays.

NIT Warangal has twenty hostel blocks for men and two for women. It has two government non-vegetarian messes in the boys’ hostels, three Institute food courts known as “IFC A, IFC B, and IFC C,” for the men’s hostels and “Priyadharshini Mess” for girls’ hostel. NIT Warangal campus also has a shopping complex that includes a laundry shop, salon and xerox shop. Eateries such as Coffee day Express, Nescafe, Bru, and Amul also remain open for over ten hours a day. The institute also provides an excellent sports facility to its students and encourages them to participate in sports activities as much as possible for their overall development. 

Computer Lab

• There is a vast, fully air-conditioned computer lab available on the campus. 
• This has all the latest computer systems with the latest windows technology connected with a thriving local area network.

Laboratories

• There are various labs within reach of students.
• Chemistry and physics lab for performing experiments.
• The introductory lab is where students are taught basic skills like carpentry.
• Electronics lab where students are given hands-on training.

Library 

• The institute has a vast, modernized, and OPAC-aided digital library.
• All the latest journals and e-books are easily accessible in the library.
• The library has an online automated database system where students can easily find the books.
• As per the college sources, it has subscribed to e-resources of IEEE/IEL. This has enabled the students to access e-journals from an enormous pool of publications.

Auditorium, Seminar hall

• The institute helps students in finding internship opportunities as well. Frequent internship programmes and seminars are organised.
• The institute has a fully air-conditioned auditorium with a seating capacity of at least 250 students.
• The seminar hall can accommodate around 300 people.
• Also, the institute has an orientation hall with 500 seating capacity.
• National Institute of Technology, Warangal also organises several industrial visits and guest lectures to keep students up-to-date with the practical arena.

R&D Committee

The institute’s research and development committee meet periodically to discuss interdisciplinary research projects. The faculty members are encouraged to take please research projects based on their areas of specialization and prior experiences. The institute encourages interdisciplinary research. The students are also free to share their knowledge.

Hostel Facilities 

• Students from various other states accommodate in the hostel.
• The institute has its hostel for girls as well as boys separately.
• The hostels are well equipped with medical, transport, and internet facilities.
• Proper hygienic dining area, Protected drinking water, and indoor games are well equipped.
• There are around 320 inmates in the boys' hostel and around 340 inmates in the girls' hostel.
• 150 sq. m. cafeteria with a seating capacity of at least 50 people is also available at the hostel.
• There is one guardian over every 20 students.

Health Centre

• National Institute of Technology, Warangal trust, has its multidisciplinary hospital near the campus. 
• Experienced and capable doctors are available 24 hours for the staff and students.
