NIT Durgapur admission to BTech is based on JEE Main scores. JEE Main 2024 session two paper one results and scores have been released, and students can use them to register for the JoSAA counselling process from June 10, 2024, onwards. 

To pursue the UG and PG courses at NIT Durgapur, candidates need to follow a set procedure which includes meeting the eligibility criteria, applying for the particular course the candidate is interested in and then the selection procedure. NIT Durgapur Scholarships

NIT Durgapur cutoff 2024 has been released by JoSAA for Round 5 on the official website. According to the official data for HS quota, the cutoff for the General category ranges from 5446 (OR) to 55579 (CR). For the OBC category, NIT Durgapur cutoff is between 3463 and 40766. 

NIT Durgapur campus is spread over an area of 187 acres. There are seven boys’ hostels and two girls’ hostels at NIT Durgapur campus. The library at NIT Durgapur campus is very popular and is situated in a separate building with three floors. It has a collection of more than a lakh volumes including reference books, textbooks and other journals. There is a Wi-Fi facility inside the library as well and it has a Xerox facility too. The campus at NIT Durgapur has two canteens for the students and the staff. One is near the academic building and the other one is near the rear exit of the main academic building. Also, there is a branch of SBI, Canara bank and a post office within NIT Durgapur campus.

The institute has a well-equipped computer centre and the NIT Durgapur campus is known for its High Voltage Laboratory, which is a graduate research and undergraduate teaching laboratory. It is compulsory as per the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to have high voltage and high power laboratories as they incur huge costs and also require the availability of specialized faculty and skilled staff. However, NIT Durgapur campus is one of the few campuses which offer such a facility.

There is a medical unit-cum hospital for indoor and outdoor treatment of patients at the NIT Durgapur campus. The medical unit has two resident doctors and other medical staff available round the clock. The students and staff can benefit from the services of the medical unit. If the students require any specialized treatment then the patients will be referred to the state government hospital or some other advanced medical centre.
