IIT Dhanbad admission 2024 has begun for UG and PG courses. Admission to the most sought-after BTech course is based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Students must know that JEE Main 2024 Session 2 registration is currently open. The last date to apply for JEE Main Session 2 is March 2, 2024, and the exam will be held between April 4 to April 15, 2024. Next, registrations for JEE Advanced 2024 will begin from April 21 to April 30. The JEE Advanced exam for BTech admissions at IIT Dhanbad is scheduled for May 26, 2024. Final admission is done through JoSAA counselling. Furthermore, GATE 2024 will be held from Feb 3 to 11, 2024 for M.Tech admissions at IIT Dhanbad.

The admission process of IIT ISM Dhanbad is specific for each course. Based on JEE Advanced scores, admission to the  B.Tech, Dual Degree and Integrated courses are done. IIT Dhanbad admission to M.Tech courses is based either on the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) or a special examination conducted by the institute. Admission to the M.Sc and PhD courses is done through exams conducted by the institute. IIT(ISM), Dhanbad has a lush green campus which is extended over 218 acres of land. The campus of IIT(ISM), Dhanbad offers various infrastructural facilities for the students. The campus has two big auditoria and one open Air Theatre to conduct various programmes/seminars workshops. The grand Penman Auditorium is the oldest with a seating capacity of 600 and Golden Jubilee Lecture Theatre is quite a new with a capacity of 233. The campus comprises of state of the art buildings with smart classrooms, laboratories. These are fully air-conditioned halls with other facilities. Hostel facility is also offered by IIT(ISM), Dhanbad. All the hostels are equipped with mess facility with furnished and hygienic dining halls. The other basic amenities such as wi-fi, recreation rooms with television, sports facilities comprising of badminton, courts, basketball courts, volleyball court, gyms and cafeteria are also provided to the students.

The institute also has good sports infrastructure for students. The Students’ Activity Centre is equipped with all sorts of indoor sports activities like badminton, table tennis, billiards, yoga hall, boxing arena, chess hall, carom hall, handball court, gyms with all equipment of international standard, one swimming pool etc. There are basket balls courts, squash complex, volley ball court, lawn tennis court of a good standard for providing a quality sports time to sports enthusiasts. In order to ensure good health of students, faculty and staff of the Institute, there is a 20 bedded Health Centre which is operational for 24 x 7 where one can have emergency treatment as and when required. The campus has a library with a wide range of books on various disciplines. The institute has a well-experinced faculty to teach the students who ensure the overall development of every student. There are also different workshops, inter-college competitions, educational tours, industrial training for the students.
