Panjab University Fee Structure 2024

Panjab University Admissions are offered in 34 courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. Some of the popular courses in which candidates can apply are BTech,  BSc, BCom, BBA, MBA, MTech, LLB etc. The university accepts scores of different national-level entrance examinations like NEET, JEE Main, CUET, NET, CAT, MAT, XAT, and many more for admission. Furthermore, Punjab University admissions are also offered on marks obtained in the last qualifying examination. The university also conducts PUMET, PU-CET (UG), PU-CET (PG), PU PGLAW, PUTHAT, PULEET, MBA USOL, PU UGLAW, PU MPhil, and PhD Entrance Test for admission to courses offered.

Candidates interested in admission at Panjab University must meet the eligibility criteria determined by the university. For UG courses, the minimum eligibility is Class 12 from a recognised university. Candidates with bachelor’s degree from a recognised university are eligible to apply for Panjab University admission in PG courses. Eligible candidates can fill the application form of the university via offline and online modes.

On that note, the Panjab University Chandigarh never shies away from providing all sorts of financial assistance to its pupils. This assistantship can be in the form of scholarships, student loans, fellowships and waiver schemes if any. As far as scholarships are considered, the university has an array of scholarships. The students who are already a part of any financial assistance program other than that offered by the university are also eligible for getting admission to the university, all based on merit.  The following is the list of scholarships that a pupil can avail of from the Panjab University, Chandigarh:

1. Scholarships for pupils with disabilities – The National Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation of India provides a scholarship for students with disabilities. These scholarships are available for undergraduate and postgraduate technical or professional courses.  These scholarships begin with the academic year.
2. Mrs. Agatha Harrison Memorial Fellowship – Candidates in the field of History, Economics, and Political Science between 30 to 40 years can apply for this scholarship as per the government of India. The applicants should have an academic record of 60 % and above. The conditions are also bound by experience-based preferences as the scholarship holders shall receive an analogous position as a JRF of Oxford University.
3. National E-scholarships from the government of India – Any candidate of the university can log in to the National E-Scholarship portal of the government of India and apply for various schemes under various schemes of the following:

M/O Minority Affairs, WARB, Ministry of Home Affairs, D/O Empowerment of persons with disabilities, M/O social justice and empowerment, M/O Labor and Employment, Department of Higher Education, M/O Tribal affairs, M/O Cultural Affairs, D/O Financial affairs, Kendriya Sainik Board, DST, Ministry of Railways and Indian statistical Institute.

Panjab University Cutoff 2024 - Expected

Panjab University cutoff for BE is based on JEE Main score and class 12 marks. The counselling for BE admission is conducted by the Joint Admission Committee (JAC Chandigarh). JAC registration is expected to start between May and June 2024 after which Panjab University cutoff 2024 will be released. Panjab University cutoff for BE Computer Science and Engineering general category seats is expected to be in the range of 111339-111345 ranks in 2024. The cutoffs for 2024 will vary from 2023 on the basis of entrance exam difficulty, the number of students who pass the exam, and the number of seats for admission at Panjab University. Panjab University cut off for BE Chemical Engineering general category quota is expected to be between 139743 and 139749 ranks in 2024.

By observing Panjab University cutoff from 2021 to 2023 we can see a trend that BE in Computer Science and Engineering closing ranks for JEE Main has increased over the past three years. Panjab University cut off for BE in ECE was 71158 ranks in 2021, 58900 ranks in 2022, and 191232 ranks in 2023.

The university's chequerboard layout was devised by Swiss-French Architect Pierre Jeanneret.^] The main campus at Chandigarh is spread over 550 acres in Sectors 14 and 25, the teaching area is in the north-east, with the Central Library, Fine Arts Museum, and three-winged structure of the Gandhi Bhawan forming its core; the sports complex, the health centre, the dolphinarium, student centre and the shopping centre in the middle; 16 university hostels and residential area in the south-east, stretching into the adjacent Sector 25 which also houses the University Institute of Engineering and Technology, Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital, UIAMS, and Institute of Biological Sciences.^[ The campus in Sector 25 is also known as the south campus.
